The President

On Tuesday, March 24, 2015, President Obama changed course on its Afghanistan withdrawal plan, stating that it will keep over 9,00 U.S. troops stationed there through 2015. Obama has pledged to reduce the number of the remaining troops that are still in Afghanistan and is planning to remove nearly all of the troops there by the time his presidency is over. On the same day, he had a meeting with Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani. Due to the Afghan government being in its fight against Taliban insurgents since the installation of the coalition government this past fall. Obama's goal to tame down the number of troops in Afghanistan by the end of 2016 has not changed and neither has "our transition out of a combat role". Also, President Obama pledged that the U.S. will support Afghanistan long after the American troops have left Afghanistan.
As Commander and Chief, the president must be in communication with thee people about the army and also be in charge of the army. This event that happened is a key part on how he must be as commander and chief  of the United States.
I feel that this is a good move for the President. Have some troops stay back and aid to Afghanistan's troops and help out with what ever they need is a good way to keep an alliance strong and going for a long time. I also see the bad part of this, Many troops were told they would be leaving and returning to their home soon and now they will have to wait even longer than they did before to see their loved ones. I hope that President Obama's goal of reducing the number of troops by the end of his presidency in 2016 goes well and there will be no more set backs in the following months.

   Political Campaigning

Once the presidential candidates are announced, it begins, the campaigning. Campaigning has been around since the first presidential elections happened way back when. The candidates want to get the prestigious spot to run the nation, and with that there has to be a lot of campaigning that needs to happen. There are many forms of c campaigning that the candidates do, such as making public appearances in many different places, taking it to social media, taking it to magazines and news papers, but one in particular is the most important, that is commercials.
Back when the first presidential elections where going on, there was no electricity so there was no tv's, phones, or social media so they took to the news papers because most of the people read them and they could get their point across in a fast way and in a way people can look at it daily. Also, candidates would get help form their friends who were very powerful and they would talk to people or large groups about the person they were in favor for and they would also make songs about the candidates and people would hear the songs. Fast forward to modern day when they had tv and then internet was happening which introduced social media, and with that presidential candidates started to make commercials to bee showed on tv, because the nation was growing and it was getting harder to spread the candidates point across because more and more people were in the nation.
When commercials cam about, not a lot of money was spent on them but as time went on and new things were coming about, the spending of money for the commercials were increasing rapidly. The candidates wanted to out do each other in every way possible when it came to the making of these commercials. The candidates would try to find things that would make the other candidate look bad in a way and getting a bust on their chances of winning presidency. A lot of these commercials would be set up if it were like a movie and they would be bigger and bigger each time. These commercials would be seen by most of the population in the nation so why not make the commercials big and raise your chances of winning. Those commercials can have a big impact on the people and that's what the candidates wanted.
